Spring in Swing

Goodness it is hot. I can't remember spring on the lake being so hot and sunny. I came here for cloudy skies and rain! It also doesn't help that my grandparent's house is old and doesn't have screens in all the windows. I've been able to watch the apple trees go from leaf buds to full bloom in under two weeks and I'm convinced it's all the sunshine. Enough complaining, more prettiness.

Listening to: The hum of yellow jackets and then the satisfying crunch as I grind their little bodies into the window sill of my room.
